Not sure if I should post this here or not but here goes. I am trying to use the voice dialing options on my 8820. Does this feature require a certain type of calling plan? I have at&t and do not want to get charged for using this feature. BTW I do not have the media net package if that makes a difference.
Nope, its built into your device, your service provider has no idea whether you press buttons or use voice commands. Think of it as another way to begin a call, instead of keying the numbers or searching the contacts list. I find it really useful from the hands-free while I'm driving.
I use the voice dialing on my 8830 a lot. Especially while driving (NJ has hands free only law while driving). It is all in the phone, no extra charges. Hope this helps.
