I just got my curve about a week ago. I absolutely LOVE IT. I have no idea why I didnt get one sooner. I am very much a newbie, and I continue to learn everyday. My only question right now is, am I able to turn off my keypad tones or at least adjust the volume? I noticed that even when my phone is on vibrate the keypad tones are still on. Thanks!
Some of my bbm contacts seem to have cool symbols next to their display names, such as a spade and a lightning bolt, i can't find these symbols, and when I try to paste them into the change display name field, it does not give me the option. Does anyone know what these are and how I can get them?

Ask them how they did it. I add Smileys to my name. You may need to get the combination of letters/symbols to be able to accomplish that.
OMG! I feel really dumb now! I just got my BB Curve and i'm having such a hard time navigating on my phone so i had to go to my computer to ask everyone...HOW DO YOU DO THIS STUFF?!?!?!?!
My friend has lightning bolts in her name in bb msgr. She said her friend typed something in and all these extra symbols came up. said she now has a whole extra screen in symbols.
Wondering how i can do this? is it a download? read somewhere to go to smiley central.
i understand how to get the preloaded smileys by hitting the symbol key twice while in bb msgr.
I am looking to find the extra ones that are not preloaded as well as the extra symbols not preloaded such as the lightning bolt. i am not sure if they unlock when you put in a code or something

How come my device model, carrier, pin, etc, doesn't show next to my name and picture in forum posts? I searched through MyAccount settings and can't seem to figure it out.... Any ideas?

And how long till it says something OTHER than Newbie... LOL
