Hi everybody I also have a question :P Is there any way to change the settings on the new curve so that the signal doesn't shut off before the battery dies? When you get down to 5 or 10% it shuts the signal off and wont let me turn it back on until it's been charging a while. Thanks
The phone does this to prevent deep discharge which can destroy your battery - permanently. You only lose a few minutes of potential talk time, and that is a small price for not killing the battery.
Try not to let your battery get so low. Lithium batteries respond better if kept above 30% and ideally above 50%.
Welcome to CB. As already mentioned, the shutdown protects from damage. I simply charge my phone each night and never get close to low battery. Battery tecchnology on BB's is such that you can top them off w/o battery memory issues.
Welcome to CB. As already said, you are being warned that your battery really needs to be charged. This is in order to prevent destroying your battery. You really want to top off your battery as much as possible, and never let it get that low. It will give you better battery life, and in the long run your battery will last longer.
Oh okay :S Lol I had it wrong then. I always thought you let the battery die and then charge so it doesn't get a memory. I let it fully die the first time. Then I've been charging it when it gets down to 15/20% so I can keep signal. Had a problem last night actually...
I finished charging 20% - 100% at 6am. Went back to bed, woke up at 10:15 and the battery was at 50%... First time it's ever drained this much while doing nothing. No texts/calls/emails - no programs opened. Should I get it checked?
