Bought a Blackberry Z10 off my friend since i oh so desperately needed a new phone, its the stl100-3 model and i was looking through and finding tons of apps i could add from the app "Snap" but i need a higher os/software version, mine being currently set to 10.1.0.4200 and i cant seem to find any updates from my tmobile carrier. Looked through the forums and found a bunch of leaks, but i'm wondering which one is the best, is it always better to go to the highest leaked release? I understand how side loading works, not so much anything else, so if someone could help me out with this whole process, i'd greatly appreciate it.

TL;DR - My Z10 needs an software/OS update to run Snap and such, which one should i update to, and how?

    Welcome to CrackBerry!

I recommend waiting. While 10.2.1.1925 is very good, you should have an upgrade to 10.2 now, if you go to Settings->Software Upgrade and check for one on WIFI. Most importantly though, a better OS than the leak I'm running, will be going official soon.

You don't need to play with leaks this early in the game, and with a tad of patience, won't have to.

Well thats the thing, my phone says i have the latest software updated
    "Currently installed:
    BlackBerry 10 OS
    Software Release 10.1.0.4200"

How would i update to 10.2?
I've already tried the method you've mentioned and the LinkedIn program with the same result.

What country and which carrier do you use?

If you want to install the latest leak OS 10.2.1.1925, you can do a search on the forums and download the appropriate autoloader for the STL-100-3. Always remember to do a backup because leak OS's will wipe out everything on your phone.

But as the BigBadWulf said, the official OS that is better and more improved than the latest leak OS 10.2.1.1925 is rolling out soon. Some Verizon customers have already received the update.

You cannot install Snap if you don't have OS 10.2.1 or higher

I will recommend you wait also.
There is going to be a supposed global roll out of the 10.2.1 updates by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Waiting for this will be cool as you will skip the process of restoring when using a leak.
If by then, u don't get any update, you can visit this link and download the autoloader for your device(which is the latest leak)

    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...ll-q-z-887047/

Read the first 10-15 pages of the thread before you proceed, so you will know what you are going into.

Awaiting 10.2.1 official while on the leak(2 days and counting)
