i'd like to be able to manually lock the keyboard on my 8310 to be only unlocked with a password, instead of having to set a time limit, since the longest time limit setting is an hour. possible?

i dont understand what youre wanting to do. the longest is an hour and the shortest is a min to unlock with pw. if you want to unlock with pw every time then choose the min

I don't know about the 8310, but on the 8130, I can hold down the * key and it automatically locks my keyboard w/ or w/o my password, depending on if it's set.

Also, you can hit the "K" key to lock it - if you have dialing turned off from the home screen. When you unlock it, it'll ask for the PW.

Manually do it like the above folks mentioned or set it to the shortest setting possible for auto lock which is 1 minute.
