Installing Desktop Manager on home and work computers
I know this is probably a stupid question. I am new to this so please bear with me.
I just got a blackberry from work. I have not installed Desktop Manager yet. I want to install it on my personal laptop so I can use it as a modem since I don't have internet access at home and I do at work. But if I install it on my laptop, does that mean I can't install it on my work computer? Is it either/or?
I would like to have all my information on my BB as well as on my work and personal computer, so that I can access it from whereever I'm at. I also want to install a couple finance and fitness programs so that I can keep track of what I spend and what I eat whether I'm at home, work, or on the go.
Is this all possible or do I have to choose only one computer to sync my blackberry to and to install the Desktop Manager on? (If so, I guess I have to choose my work computer, since they're paying for most of my plan LOL).
Thanks in advance for the help. I apologize for my ignorance about blackberries! - 09-16-2008, 08:44 PM #2
You can install DM on as many computers as you want. I have it on my work computer, home computer, and laptop.

Welcome to CrackBerry.
No problem installing it on multiple host computers, but it only partially address your needs.
It does not provide tethering for use as a modem.
That requires a few extra setting, documented here:
