I am now receiving hotmail on my blackberry so I don't need to log onto the hotmail website to check my e-mails. Will my hotmail account automatically close down if I am not accessing the hotmail website? (I know if there is no activity within a given time period a hotmail account will automatically close down).

It shouldn't. You're still receiving e-mails in your hotmail account, and a copy is being pushed to your blackberry.
