Hi all.. I'm moving to a new job and I need to learn about
the BB because I will be eventually assisting other existing BB users .
The GPS and email is going to be helpful to me, on the road trip down to
    the new job location

    A few questions. I have a BB Curve 8310

    1) I'm using gmail for my email client. Is the a way I can
export outlook express address book or contacts to
    my bb?

    2) I did not by a SD Flash memory card for my BB. I take it,
that there is not a lot of storage on it, so this card is necessary.
Is $20 USD the going rate for the card?

    3) Is there any online documents for learning about the "enterpise email"
    function of the BB?

    Please, Thank You!
It's great to be a member here
    of this awesome site.

    Hello and welcome to CB!

You can use desktop sync for syncing outlook to your bb.

you will need an sd card but the price depends on the ammount of memory. You will want one to put pictures music videos and Ringtones.

As for enterprise check out blackberry.com. Or you can search on here.

Might I suggest going to Ebay for your SD memory card. You can find some really good deals! Good Luck!

Welcome to CB, one question you're likely to get asked is can you put applications on the sd card.
Right now sd cards only hold music, ringtones and movies. Cross your fingers that apps on sd cards will be supported under 4.5.

    Welcome to the site...

1* To add contacts from Outlook Express. Load up Desktop Manager, I have 4.3 and I click 'Synchronize' then click 'Configuration' tab then click 'Configure Synchronization'

2* I got a 4gb for $18, but it's all where you shop. Must places charge $10 shipping which brings it to $30.

3* Go here for more info on enterprise & such for your blackberry.

Have just bought 8310 to replace nokia 9300 communicator but cannot follow instructions on how to upload outlook express from computer to 8310.
would be very grateful for full instructions(being a little dim)as I must be clicking the wrong button under configure synch.

I can't help with Outlook as I use a Mac. But I did get a good deal on a Kingston 4GB micro sd card. You will definitely want one for music and pictures. I got it from Buy.com. I used the Google checkout feature and got $10 off. I think the total with shipping was like $17.

Welcome to the CB forums these people are awesome here and have taught me much. And best wishes with your new job!
