So, im new to this whole blackberry thing. I bought the curve for the sole purpose that its pink and has a QWERTY keyboard (i know...im a nerd)

anyway, so far i like it. i just added a data plan today so im still learning.

just a quick question...i did a search for 3rd party apps that will track my data usage (i dont have much..because buying this blackberry outright put me in the poorhouse!). i found a couple things, just wondering what you all would recommend?

i have absolutely no idea what im doing with this phone..hope yall would be so kind as to give me a hand when i have some really dumb questions.

oh just to ask another question...am i supposed to turn the internet off or something when im not using it? is that even an option? i dont know what im doing :cry:

Welcome. You do not need to turn off the internet but you should close it when you are done by going to menu close. Do not just hit the end key.

i downloaded the mini monitor app to check my data usage..since i dont have a huge data plan. im not using anything and it keeps going up?? im not sure why!!!

you can go to the browser and click on it and when it opens up if its still on the last thing you did then hit the bb button and scroll down to close and your done also you might want to scroll to the browser click on it then press the bb button scroll to options and then go to "cache options" and clear your history on so on it would help the browser surf a lil faster

Welcome to CB, hold down alt and your back button to check all running apps, you will always have 5 running apps at all times eg. phone, browser, home screen, blackberry messenger and messages, anything other than these 5 should be closed.
