3 days into the storm...its my first Blackberry...already highly addicted..though most of the software is "above my paygrade" it's still great!

Can my Storm be used as an 'outer' modem for a laptop...if so..how

yes your BB can be used as a Modem, most refer to it as PAM, Phone As Modem. Sprint makes it easy to do, I don't know that much about Verizon.

NC here! If you have verizon it is extra a month to tether and you need to use the Verizon Wireless Access Manager. To do so. Hope this helps.

NC or SC Aronp24? I grew up in SC. I'm in North GA now. If you thought that was a stupid question I dun know what y'all will call the stuff I'll be asking. It took me five minutes to figure out how to send a stupid text message with the thing.

Hey thanks for the welcome and the help ..its hard getting used to typing on here coming from the EnV...this thing tries to correct every other word so I keep having to backspace..alas it is still great.btw for those who asked I'm in upstate SC near charlotte NC

I am also in NC and I am also on my first berry (8350i). I HIGHLY recommend the 101 how to stuff that was on the second post. It will answer a lot of your questions.

The next challenge is figuring out all of the model specific info.....
