I have a 8820 (if you guys even remember those) and a playbook. After disappointment from a slow BLU LIFE PURE XL I bought a Z10, the stl100-4 that is. I have had it for 3 months and can't stand 2g because I bought the wrong model for t-mobile . So, Yeah.

All Z10 should at least have 3G with some model having 4G. Try the settings, maybe you accidentally toggle a switch to keep it on 2G.

It seems that stl100-4 Z10's cannot used the GSM for anything other than 2G, because it was only intended for outside of the U.S.

Yeah, BlackBerry devices can be confusing when you're trying to buy. If you're going to purchase another BlackBerry, do the most thorough research as much as possible before pulling the trigger.

Especially online retailers. Ask them the model type if it's not listed. If they don't respond, they're most likely to not have the version you're looking for.
