About one a week or so things just stop working on my pearl. Things like SMS/MMS messages, web pages and email. I take the battery out and that seems to help. Is anyone else having this problem?

yeah thats 8mb, pretty low. Follow the guide I provided and you'll be fine. The pearls memory is pretty limited and junked up from the factory with pre-loaded pics video etc. and other stuff you don't need. You need about 12mb to run smoothly. The battery pull is closing all applications and freeing up memory temporarily.
