As a CrackBerry newbie, here's my scenario, for those who may be interested or in the same boat.
I've been on Verizon for many years, and about to step up to a BlackBerry (from a non-smartphone). My inclination is to probably go with the 9000 (Bold), rather than the 9350 (Storm). Getting the 9000 (Bold) would necessitate changing carriers and porting my number to ATT; I'm not interested in hacking the Bold's software to work on Verizon.
As I have no ETF issues and I'm good for Verizon's NE2, I'm in a position where I can get a Bold (9000) via E*Trade's deal with Wirefly for $99 (after $100 rebate) w/ new ATT 2yr account activation. For the same price, I could try the 9350 (Storm) if I choose to wait for the new Storm production build to arrive at Verizon.
I'm not asking for input on what decision to make. Just posting to get my feet wet on CrackBerry! Happy Holidays to all.
