Hello... I, like most I assume, have multiple email accounts configured on my Curve (8320). I would like to make it so each of them has a distinctive alert tone, so I know from across the room which email account just received mail. Is there a way to do this? I have tried, but it seems that whenever I change one, all change.

Other than that, I AM LOVING MY new 8320.

Welcome to CB!

I don't know about the Curve but the Pearl has it that each email address has a different ringtone.

Once you are in profiles, and hit menu edit it should list each email account and you can change for email account.

Thanks, but I have tried that with poor results. It is like the different accounts are linked. When I change one, the others all change, too. Arrrgh

Any other ideas?

Go to profile then advance hit menu then edit. There you can edit whatever tones or sound effects. Yahoo gmail bb etc. You can also edit ur sms bb messenger google talk etc. Good luck.

Maybe all your messages are "Level 1 Messages" in which case the "Level 1" settings will over-ride. Try setting "Level 1 Messages" alerts to "None" and see what happens.
