Hi I have a BlackBerry Q10 and I can't seem to download any content from the Internet. It downloads but when I try opening the file it says "unable to open file".

I had no problems downloading MP3's from 4shared.com on my previous device; the BlackBerry 9780.

First off welcome to CrackBerry.com!

It could be the files you are trying are using a compression codec that is not supported by the Q10. I can tell you that I download mp3s on my Z10 (same OS) and they generally work. Try a few more files. (look for files encoded via H.263 or H.264, those should work)

Try a simple test against Youtube to prove your connectivity and device setup. This very short video;



works on my Z10 which has essentially the same software as a Q10. If you see the video your device works and the problem is probably unsupported formats as others have suggested.

Welcome to CrackBerry. I agree with the advice to try it again. I don't think it's an OS issue.
