    Is there software to view calender , Notes, phone logs on my desk top. My problem is try to recover lost calender items that I have backed up but if you restore them it deletes everything bprior nstead of appending.

    Are you talking about programs like Outlook? You can't view the phone logs but as far as the Calendar and notes, you can.

    Microsoft Outlook is the preferred choice. It synchronizes with the BlackBerry every time I plug it in for charging.

    Any changes I make are written to the BlackBerry or back to the desktop.

    There are free third party applications that will let you view and edit your backup files. That may serve the same purpose.
