i tried going to that geekandproud.net site and dled the application but i can't open it on computer and cant transfer to my blackberry, so if anyone could help me out that would be great

ColorPearl allows you to change the color of the trackball on your BlackBerry Pearl.

Note: The ONLY BlackBerry that this will work on is the Pearl/8100! It is the only device with the colored LEDs behind the trackball. There will not be a version for the 8800, Curve/8300, Pearl 2/8120/8130. Blame RIM, not me!

To enable/disable and set the color, go to Options->ColorPearl.

Maybe that's why it won't work if you have a Pearl 8130? There are some threads around CB saying how the new pearls aren't able to have color trackballs.

ColorPearl will not work on any device other than the 8100 with OS 4.2.

It won't work on the 8130.
