1. i pulled my bold out of my pocket and it was locked up, screen on but nothing would get it to operate probably did a bad thing pulled the battery and it rebooted and worked fine, what happened?
2. i was on it last night and the buttons light went off i am not sure why and would not come back on, the screen was on though. later i plugged it in to the charger and played with it and the button lights came back on. why?

Welcome to CB. If the phone was locked up, you did the right thing by doing a battery pull. Not sure about your 2nd question. There are lots of smart people on these forums though, so I'm sure you'll get an answer.
