I have sprint and a pearl 8130. I use it for personal use only. My question is it safe to delete this mds runtime? It says its usually for bes and something about an IT making there own something lol. Sorry if its confusing. Basically need to know if its gonna mess anything up if I delete it? Its like 799kb. I'm getting about 13 mb free space at the moment.

I think your best solution is to delete and tweak a whole load of stuff, not just mds runtime. This involves reloading all the software - without the bloatware - so it might also be a good opportunity to upgrade to the latest OS for your phone. It sounds intimidating but actually its really easy and you can get huge improvements. My advice is to consider using CrackMem to help setup the process.

Two of our forum moderators have done a lot of work to explain the process and make it easy, so checkout these 2 threads before you decide what you want to do.

Start with http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...-memory-34633/ - at least the first few posts from Reed McLay. You'll see a reference to CrackMem which has a download link in the first post of http://forums.crackberry.com/f35/cra...eleased-52044/

You'll also want to go to the discussion board for your phone model, find the thread discussing the latest release of official software (it should be a sticky msg on the first page of the board) and review the comments from other users. The first message in thread usually has a download link for the software. Feel free to post in questions if you need more advice - probably in one of the two threads I linked above, or start a new thread in your phone's message board.
