So it would figure that when i delete bb maps in exchange for google maps that verizon would then unlock gps for use with bb maps. i am running OS 4.5 and i cant get bb maps to load back on my phone. can someone please help me?

you need to load it back onto your phone using Desktop Manager. i just did this today as well. it will be in the add application section (or similiar) and just check the box next to bb maps and continue.

the process seemed to take a while, maybe 20 minutes.

Are you running OS 4.5xx? I'm going to assume you are pre-4.5 but could be wrong.

The safest way to reload the program is to use the OS download file so it installs the proper version back onto the device

I am 4.2 still. And I just went to the redesigned site at mobile.blackberry.com and I can't find the download there anymore.

i did this and it worked just fine. FINALLY I can use the gps on my BB!!!!
