When we refer to "developers" here that typically refers to developers of third party apps. These devs wouldn't be BBRY employees and wouldn't have any idea about when an OS version would release.

Nobody knows a firm date for the release of future OS versions. It is dependent on both BBRY and your carrier.

You can find guides here on how to try out a leaked OS version. I had never tried before 10.2.1.1055, and I was surprised at how easy it really is. This OS is worth giving it a try. I love it personally!

Welcome to CrackBerry. Very good information by elite. The leaked versions of an OS are usually the same OS your carrier will release if they are going to release one. BBRY will develop an OS and send it to the carriers. It's up to them to decide if they will release it or not.

If you want to be clever... there is one dude (or dudette) on the regular Z10 thread who called both the T-MO updates dates correctly. Insider info. If you do a search for a thread with something like "when is 10.1 coming to t-mo" you may find him/her. Then, you can see if he/she knows.

Would not surprise me if some US carriers skip 10.2 and go right to 10.2.1' Verizon loves to do things like this, the less software updates the better in their minds. Less updates means less support calls when updates fail. . 10.2.1 can NOT be skipped with what it brings to the table.
