I have just inserted a 16GB SanDisk Micro SD card into my blackberry 9000. Trouble is when I look in the "Options" "About" section on the phone it only says I have 1.8GB of memory on the media card?????

I have the 4.7 desktop software and the 4.6.0.162 (platform 4.0.0.155) device sofware installed.

Please help a newbie

Go to options>media card. Hit menu Format.

Go to options>media card. Hit menu Format.

...AFTER you've copied anything on that card to a file on your hard drive. That will stop you from losing files, I think.
