Willyboy v6.2 and 6.3 Hybrids
I recommend uninstalling any other OSís off of your computer and running CCleaner (including registry cleaner) to ensure a clean install. Please back up all your data before proceeding.
-This is meant to install over the following OS's:
9700: OFFICIAL 126.96.36.1993
9550: OFFICIAL 188.8.131.523
9530: LEAKED 184.108.40.2061
9520: OFFICIAL 220.127.116.113
9500: LEAKED 18.104.22.1684 (You are actually installing a higher platform, just use old folder)
9000: LEAKED 22.214.171.1241 and LEAKED 126.96.36.1992
8900: LEAKED 188.8.131.521 and LEAKED 184.108.40.2062

8520: LEAKED 18.104.22.1681 and LEAKED 22.214.171.1242
-Run Willyboy v6.x.exe to install the hybrid over the base. (If you are asked to create a new directory, you are doing it wrong)
-"Exit" the installer, BBHTool will pop up. Shrink out all languages you do not need to save space. DO NOT shrink out default fonts and themes. Thanks for Lyricidal for this tool!
-If you choose to wipe, now would be the time to do it.
-Launch loader from SAOS. If core applications are missing from loader selection, try launching from BBSAK or BBMCP.
These builds contain .734/.743/.822/.832/126.96.36.199/.91/.100 files.
-East Asian Language support is included and fully functional.
-Google Maps v4.2.0, UberTwitter v0.971, Twitter for BlackBerry v1.0.40, newest App World, FourSquare v1.8.4, and Xtreme Labs Speedtest are all included.
-Includes all stock Blackberry games and IM Applications with loader options.
-Includes an option to install the NEW Driphter.com Mobile Launcher!
It is important to keep in mind that the first couple reboots will take a lot longer than normal. Also, battery life will not be good until the device settles which usually takes 24-48 hours.

So, I carefully followed your directions on how to install the hybrid for the 8900. After all is said and done I hit Ctrl +Caps+H and my App platform reads: 188.8.131.522 Platform: 184.108.40.206.. Did I do something wrong? (It should read 220.127.116.112/18.104.22.168)
I just don't understand how running Willyboy v6.3.exe to install the hybrid over the base actually changes anything on my phone? I feel like it just changes things to the computer files... hmm
Also when i Shrink the Java i don't how is this changing stuff on my phone..
Am I missing a step somewhere? Please Help

dballs... give it some thought... Where do you think the files in the computer end up going to?
You shinrk the cod files OUT off the install package, and the load them INTO your phone.
Think of it as a CD with an Windows install and your phone as a hard drive.
PS: I imagine something did go wrong, since mine shows Platform: 22.214.171.124 and App Version 126.96.36.199 (1385). Did you point the hybrid installer to the right place?

thanks for everyone's help but I figured it out and now feel like a huge dumb head..
(read willyboys Hybrid Installation Instructions on the driphter.com page)
I was installing the new OS first on my phone and then running the hybrid over the OS which never did a thing to my phone... **before you install the OS run the hybrid and use shrink then run the OS onto your phone**
