Alright guys, here's a special treat for all of you. Got a hold of some 5.2 files, and wanted to spread the love. This stuff is FAST, and FASTER. I have 2 versions ready. An identical version of v7, and a full 758 java that has working VVM. I hope you all like it!

V7 TURBO is v7 with a few speed enhancements.

V7 TURBO/ALTERNATE is a full java hybrid with the same 5.2 files as v7 TURBO, but it fixes the vvm issue

Features:
FAST browser
Date/time issue fixed (Only in v7 TURBO)
Very lightweight
The best files from .758 mixed with the best of .743 (Only v7 TURBO)

Cons:
VVM doesn't work in v7 TURBO

PwnCakes......thanks for creating the best Hybrids out there. Your original v7 has impressed me incredibly, with crazy fast browsing speeds, let alone 100% stability. Already looking forward to the TURBO.

ive been having pretty bad battery life with v7. im averaging between 5-6% drain per hour as opposed to 2-3% with v6. hopefully its better with this.

Considering the only one that has ownership of those files is RIM, not you or PC or anyone else...

Don't even start posting in my thread that I stole your files. I got these from pimpmydad and I have picture proof of that. Also, I did copy and paste the credits from my v7 post you know....

Why are you even doing efforts to hate? He's giving us blazing fast hybrids, you shouldn't care which files he used, he's providing us with quality hybrids.
It's not like he neglected you or anything, he included you in the credits.

And where do you think he got them from? He is a VIP at bbh too
And I know they're not "my files" I did not claim that... I said they came from my VIP build - same date and all.

I'm not hating - people just don't realize the effects this will have on getting OSs like this in the future... There won't be any because people put them out before they were "supposed" to

Let me clear the air here. Yes i am a vip at bbh, but i did not take the cods from your vip build Lyri. A buddy of mine is using one of Lyri's hybrids, & he sent me a bunch of cods to try it on my 9700. So i tried them & it worked great on my 9700 & i decided to share it with Pawncakes. I did not ask him where they came from, he just asked me to try it out & i did. Well there was no offense meant to Lyri.

No offense taken guys - I just don't want to see the end of 5.2 files so early - that is the main concern

I see now that things weren't intentional here, but please try to see where I was coming from -> we want more of these files for the community
(and those ready to jump in and say I'm looking for monetary gain, please show me where I've advertised the 5.2 files)

I'm having problems installing this hybrid. I've copied the java file over to the .743 OS and have deleted all vendor.xml files. The loader isn't recognizing the OS as being a new version, since I already have .743 installed on my device. Any suggestions?

I have always just cruised past the name calling and fighting post without saying anything, but its getting ridiculous!

Some of you act like children (and probably are). I don't understand your logic. We have a group of guys who are nice enough/smart enough/dedicated enough (and/or maybe just bored), who are enhancing our Bb experience by GIVING us hybrid OS's that make our Bb experience better. They make no money from doing this and yet they hang here and endure the constant barrage of postings claiming that one "cheated" by using files in his hybrid that really were created by another person for "their" hybrid and didn't give him credit for using the files.

Grow up! You remind me of the geeky hall monitors in grade school; always looking for someone to "tell on".

No one makes any money off these hybrids, nor will they ever, so there should be no worry over intellectual property theft (except maybe by RIM). It's done for fun. Don't worry who "used" another builder's files without giving them credit.

And to you builders, thanks to all of you! BUT, don't let yourself be dragged down into these childish, name calling comments. I know you all understand that you do it for fun and because you enjoy doing it. Don't respond to these clowns AND certainly don't fight amongst yourselves over who is using who's files. If you find that you just can't help it, then you have a problem and may want to think about spending your time doing something outside of building Bb hybrids.

Again, thanks to all of you for taking the time to build these hybrids and for sharing with us.

I just installed this hybrid, and when trying to play my music...i get an "Unable to Play Content"...even though it shows me all my files.

Anyone else ever get this? Suggestions?

I installed the alternate. I also just tested the vvm with a test message, and it won't play either. At first i thought maybe it was the card, but now i'm thinking it has something to do with the player not working correctly.
