Default OS 6 hybrid discussion

So, we know that eventually there will be OS 6 for the 9650 and 9700, surprisingly, with the 9780 in the wings to be launched. Curious, with the 9700's having less memory, wonder if it will choke.

We have already seen a 9800 os leak, pretty exciting, so anybody have any luck playing with it? I've heard that there hasn't/won't be much success blending alot of the core files into an OS hybrid due to the different hardware.

doubt the 9700 will "choke", it'll need much less memory than the touch versions.

It should run similarly to the 9800, given the fact it has the same processor. The reduced memory shouldn't have any affect, other than you'll have simply less storage for apps.

I think that the 9650 will beat the 9800 in speed and performance since there is no touch screen. In many location the slider has been seen as the 9650 but with a touch screen added.

Since OS6 is much bigger than the OS5. The 9700 will definitly get a lite version of the OS6 (Kinda Shrinked OS).

New hybrids will be there also for OS6. There will be many 9650 owner interested in the 9700 lite OS6 for example. There will be unsatisfied people with the performance and features of their OS6.

So more leaks and more hybrids will be comming........

All day long, my job entails me working with blackberries, mostly of the bold flavor with some storm 1/2 thrown in, in my experience, the 9700 runs circles around the 9650, faster user experience/reboot times, etc which was kind of surprising to me

so blackberry 6 is supposed to have new ringtones, has anyone tried to hotswap the ringtone cod into a os 5 hybrid? Think i'm gonna try today

yeah that whole thing was a fiasco, i'm gonna guess that if they couldn't do it by now, they are waiting for something else to leak/happen, incidentally there is a clam shell os leak of 6, which I'm guess is a non touch screen, wonder how that will blend for our OS 5 devices

thats a good point considering the only has been for a touch-screen.........they may be able to pull the components from that leak. yet again i wouldnt get my hopes up...........official release could be soon, ya never know....till then, just work off of what u got now.........ya know?
