Works for the 9530 and 9500
this is the entire 436 java folder with bbm 5.0.0.57, app world, facebook, docs to go etc...
It is only the java, apps, and tools folders
Installation:
Install 419 (9500 users install 425)
delete the java folder in device OS folder from your pc
install the hybrid (with the installer version you have to choose the os folder to install to)

I downloaded/installed the shrunk version. It booted up with about 4mb more memory and the typing seems a little less laggy. I was glad to see that holding down the 1 key calls the voicemail again.
The black lines still show up in the SMS. (only issue that I can remember that I had that still aren't working) - 01-20-2010, 12:40 AM #6
MajikUF, go to Options > SMS Text and change the settings to Stripes. It'll resolve the black lines issue.

Hi OAKDPC,
The files I uploaded have the .451 CDMA sfi file, so for the 9500 you can use that sfi file and not the older .425 sfi which has quite a few bugs.
So just install the .451 CDMA and Java folders over the .425 CDMA and Java folders and run Shrink-A-OS.

Where is your upload Greg? (the megaupload you put up for the 9500??) I am interested in the newer sfi. I never noticed it before, but I saw the black stripes this morning on the quicklaunch config. Ill be glad to see this go away.
Man, this 451 was screaming this morning, I can't wait to have it all!Last edited by MajikUF; 01-20-2010 at 07:49 AM. Reason: I type faster than I think ;)

Does this install just like the .419 did???? Sorry for being new to this whole thing but would really like to give this a try but afraid I will do it wrong or don't know what I am doing for that matter....
I installed .419 myself but unsure how to go about installing a hybrid but would really like to give it a try... Could someone walk me through this.... I have been learning more and more each day with all these helpfull threads though, thanks to all of you guys.....

Does this bring multitouch typing back? That's the reason I'm still on 328

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
~41mb. Contains zipped 9500 5.0.0.451 CDMA and Java folders from DM cache or in effect the guts of the DM download of .451.
The .sfi file (in the CDMA folder) is for the 9500. It will not work for the 9530.

Ok I downloaded the installer and then had it installed in the .419 loader file. Took the java folder and cut and pasted it inside the OS folder and then deleted the apps and tools folder as well as the old java folder and everything went smooth. Gained about 2 more mb of memory. Not really sure what to look for as far as changes but in my about tab in options it says I am running OS 5.0.0.451 Platform (4.2.0.179).
Did I do this right???? Phone is running fine.. What are the differences I should look for??? I did notice the calendar reminder is different. Memory is holding very well......
What are the other things I should look for???? SMS lines are still there in bubbles.... - 01-20-2010, 04:00 PM #20

Does anyone know if I can just remove the ooak .419 / .436 hybrid java folder and replace it with this one or do I need to delete and re install .419 and copy this over?
