Lyricidal's New .794 Hybrids Findings Thread
Lyricidal has released a new batch of hybrids for the Storms. This one is version .794 and can be found over at BBHybrids.net as usual. There's a version for each of the last three "official" releases for the different Storm types - 419/484, 517/580, and 713/741.
I downloaded the .794 for the .713 Storm2 release. I must say it took a little while for this to warm up but now it's as good as usual and pretty stable. I would do a few battery pulls right after installing if I had to do it over again.
I also downloaded the 6.0 files for the first time. I don't know what they're supposed to do better or different but they haven't broken my Storm2 yet so they can't be that bad for it. Right?
Feel free to post your findings here. As always, try and keep it to findings. Honestly, no one cares if you're "downloading it right now!"

I am running his .758 hybrid with .713 and with multiple battery pulls after install it has settled nicely and doesn't have the dreaded robotic voice.
I'll wait a few days for more info on this one and maybe try it.VZW 9550 with .1015 os

Running the .713 hybrid. Battery life is phenomenal for me for the first time. I'm afraid to try another one after this one.

Battery LIFE!
My battery only dropped 15% overnight! That's about as good as I've ever seen it. The more I think about it, I haven't really thought about this hybrid. It's kind of like a baseball umpire - if you don't notice them, they're doing an excellent job.

These have gotten so good I hardly look for new updates much anymore. I'll eventually load anything Ly puts out because I know it will be good, but I take my time since the current is awesone already!

After Day 1: battery life is very good, speed is amazing; especially in the browser. Reboot takes 2-3 minutes. Screen however is a little stiff. So far so good, of course no random reboots or Java errors. Running over .713

I would do a clean install and then make sure you do at least 5 battery pulls I had a call right after i first loaded it up and it had the robotic voice but then i did multiple pulls and it went away i guess this os just needs to settle.
this install has a installer so just transferring certain files is not a option in this one.
by the way my battery has been awesome on this one.. VZW 9550 with .1015 os

Just loaded it up, so far so good. Will watch battery life next few days, its the only issue I had with last .713 Hybrid.

Running almost 24 hours now and problems to report. Battery very good and no memory leak at all.Last edited by Steve 3073; 07-24-2010 at 02:52 PM.

.758 has been great on my device so I'm torn between installing anything else and having it not work as well or installing another of Lyr's hybrids based on success rate.

I just loaded this hybrid and have an annoying problem with it. When I go to the sounds option and choose phone calls only, I still get the notification sounds for BBM, SMS, MMS, and Emails. This is a major problem for me because I keep the phone next to my bed on the charger and was hearing all the alerts all through the night. I have tried many hybrids and never had this problem. This was installed over .713 and I wiped the phone before the install. I have done at least 5 battery pulls too.

not sure man I don't have this problem I also have this hybrid loaded over .517 radio cause i had the robotic voice come back.
But I never had that issue loaded over .713 either maybe just a corrupted install I would say load it up again won't hurt to try I guess.VZW 9550 with .1015 os

I am hoping that the .517 radio with this hybrid gives me the best experience, as I haven't seen many people talking much about this build...I do realize there are newer ones out but the older ones seem to run a little bit better.
