King V5 KV5 edition
This is the latest in the King 9650 Hybrid series.
Named KV5 after the largest of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. You can read about it here. (Thanks MC for this name)
This build has only been tested over the 524 base however may run over 466. Please, make sure you install to a fresh base of 524. As always wipe before installing, and please wash your hands.

Great Battery life, much better than Stock.
Then again. Everythings better than Stock.
Exceptionally better than stock.

Hi. I have a question.
1. Do I need to install this over to .466 or .524??
2. BBSAK doesn't detect my device therefore I can't wipe my device. What should I do?

On my 3rd force reboot since install I got this. Installed on .524

Install over 524, as this is what it was tested on. As far as wiping if you use loader exe it does a wipe for you before installing.

I just finished installing, no error before restore...
Once I restored (NO APPS except VVM from RIM) I got the error upon reboot, so it is definetly not in the apps, except if for some random reason it is VVM, John Yester do you have VVM? Could it be something in the content store? I also get the net_rim_bb_phone _app error as well... - 05-16-2011, 06:10 AM #12

KV5 has been running w/out issue for a couple days now. Settled in quite nicely.

Perfect upgrade, no glitches at all. Everything restored with no problems, except... my clock doesn't come on when I set the bb in the charge pod. The settings are the same, no biggie...

Dohhhh, I just realized I didn't have my charge pod plugged in. Had used the USB for the update, sheesh.

Loaded this up with no problems at all. Reboots are lightning fast!! Restoring everything now.

I did see a mistake I made. I forgot to add the alx for the bbid so ë prtect is throwing an error. The bbid cods are in the installer just BBSAK thm in. I will update installer this evening to include the alx. Sorry for the oversight! Originally Posted by trucky
