Reception is horrible with this build!
I have a faulty 9900 (that I need to get warrantied) that randomly drops signal and gets SOS before recovering full signal again. However, with every OS I have run up until this hybrid, it has been bearable and very useable such that I haven't bothered to take it in to get warrantied... But with this hybrid I am dropping signal waaaay more often now that it has become annoying and a pita. Is it possible to use a different radio file than the one provided?
Also, what happened to Spell Check?!? Its missing from all the apps that usually use it (email, bbm, browser, memmo pad etc). I've seen it work in a few places (I think?) but I just tried all the apps I could think of that usually have spell check enabled and its not working... Is there an option I need to turn back on?
Not to knock on you for this build Barracuda. I absolutely LOVED the hybrid of yours I ran on my old 9700, so I was really looking forward to one of your Hybrids for my 9900
Maybe I did something wrong with the install, but I have done tons of hybrids and OS installs in the past with no issues (and yes I did a complete wipe before this install).
Unless someone has some suggestions to fix these problems (radio file swap or spell check fix), I'll go try the Barracuda Series 4 hybrid before giving up and going back to a boring stock OS until I get my Bold warrantied

Can I easily swap the radio with this hybrid on my 9900?
If so, how?
The reception is absolutely horrible!
I seem to have SOS or no signal more often than I have any signal at all when I randomly pick up my phone to check a message and look. This is happening all over where I have always had good signal at before

Agreed.
I scrapped this hybrid and went back to series 4.5 (Hybrid Babyluv Edition Arrogant |Series 4.5 Support ALL Device OS 7.1 Blackberry | (example: Best Theme)) which seems to be much more stable with .402 radio for the 9900 - 06-18-2012, 07:07 PM #47
