    Default hybrid for 9700 that is os5 (to avoid network drop syndrome) with os6 browser ?

    Hi,

    So I use my BB9700 with generic data, or sometimes NO data and wifi only. In os6 there is something called network drop where I have to reboot regular to use things like opera mini.

    So anyways, in os5 this is fine.. but I like the os6 browser too...

    Is there a hybrid that is 0s5 but has the os6 browser too ?

    I used to have the same issue .. then i got BIS .. and it went away!!
    Used a blackberry, went for an iphone , then an android ... then got back to blackberry !!

    This is an old thread, but I wanted to bump it to say that I found a fix to the "network drop" problem for my 9700 using a generic data plan from Comviq here in Sweden. It requires installing a Chinese hybrid of OS 6 that is linked in posts from Crackberry user mtint:
