I'm afraid you'll have to hold your horses for a little bit till the new Berrylicious v.4 arrives soon.
Basically a hybrid OS is made of several OSs blend together and has been shrunk out the unnecessary apps came with original OS which we won't be needing at large.
Well, Ş
яяƔ to tell you that after you installed a 'really good tested hybrid', your phone won't be the same no more, it will perform much better and responds faster.
Hope the info satisfied your curiousity, friend!

Hi kfroese,
The Berrylicious series are numbered V2, V3, etc. - developer is zocster. The MaxHybrids are numbered V8 and V9 (V9 is the current one) - developer Maxrdlf.
And, there is a Berrylicious V4 coming out - however, max WILL NOT be developing any further builds for the 9800 (OS6). He MAY be developing future builds for the 9800, 99XX, and 9850/60 devices (OS7).
I hope this helps . .9810 on BL Ultimate AT&T Special V4 - 08-14-2011, 05:25 PM #7
Hi Tony,
It depends on the hybrid - some you do install over a standard (official release or leaked OS) on your PC, and then install the hybrid onto the standared OS using the instructions provided by the hybrid builder. Then, you install to your device after doing back up, device wipe, etc.
Some other hyrbrids have the base OS already in the hybrid package - again, follow the hybrid builder's instructions.
I hope this helps . . .9810 on BL Ultimate AT&T Special V4
