HEy guys, ADR is a bit high with teh large .714 sfi. Probably to do with my carrier.

If i wanted to change to the .746 sfi, is it as simple as swapping the two and running apploader? Or do I have to do something else?
Give it some time to settle will ya? Or else, you have to re-load your OS. Yes, just swap around the .sfi file and you're ready to re-load

Yeah, its been steadily going up. Right after install it was idling around 2.5 now idling at 5-6%

Planning to reload with large .746 sfi tomorrow..

    Thanks for your help!

I always shrink out what is not used, logical really. Hehe...

Sent from my BlackBerry 9320 powered by
    BerryLicio.us
    Umm...ok...?

This is the reason I asked:
Eagle (or anyone else for that matter), do you still shrink out BBM or leave it on?
I used to shrink it as I don't use it, but one of the BL Team, either Ian or Sator I think advised leaving it on as removing it might affect the OS as BBM interacts with other things.
It was possibly me that said it. BBM and BBID is now tied into most
    Apps.
So I was wondering, if the OS/apps are constantly searching for BBM, that will obviously have a negative impact on ADR...

2 Days in with BL 1.0 , Coming from .546

    1. Batter drain was quite high in the beginning , I did many battery pulls , today it is under observation for the battery usage.

    2. Bootup seems to be getting faster , but that maybe could be due to the fact that I stare at the progress bar too hard.

    3. After few battery pulls , telcom signal lock is getting better ( currently ,I am using EDGE only , since im not subscribed to vodafone 3g, I travel to malaysia , and there I use celcom which has 3g for blackberry, will let you all know ,how this build fairs up to 3g usage)

    4. Wifi signal lock is definitely better / stable.

    5. Whatsapp and VIber work perfectly - Note viber for chatting only , no VOIP , If its not impossible maybe the good bl team can do something about enabling voip on next build ( miss doing yahoo msn voice chat)

    6. I also notice that , the bootup often sucks a lot of power , that could have also contributed to faster battery drain , This is an assumption.

    Hope this helps

Oh and I had installed this , using the post on page 1 , First download and install .746 , Then run BL installer which does something , then run BBSAK to wipe device , then install using apploader , All this SFI talk is just confusing for and I didnt quite understand where to get that form to begin with.

Its second day with BL Return on 9860 with Base .714 (large sfi), amazed to notice temp 14 degree today morning, never noticed temp so low on this device previously. Battery performance is also improving. Return is much better than BL RC7B1.

Glad it works great on your device. Yeah, maybe this new .746 is a decent OS to build with.

Can anyone please tell me how to get a large SFI? I know its to be found in Vodafone UK 714. But is it that I install that and then go to C:// to find the sfi in UMTS folder? or is there a way to just extract the file and get to the SFI? BTW how large is the large SFI? I have one that is 70mb.
    thanks in advance

What is your enquiries again? BBM hybrid is like Hybrid OS. Mixs of more than 3 cod modules for BBM. I believe its for better adr, mdr, and better performance in BBM. ( opening contacts, display pictures, better recent updates depends on your networkds too, and etc) Or its just a myth lol. Anyways, ofcourse there is a function of BBM Hybrid, or else, why in the world they wanna 'hybrid' it right?

Dont have to reload. Bbm is not your core OS. Its only an apps.
