I have loaded lots of hybrids but never swapped the .sfi . What are the differences between large and small, besides file size? Im looking to get a little better signal on my 9360.

Can't speak for the 9360 but on the 9900 the "fat" .714 .sfi gives a better signal and runs cooler than the "small" .sfi.

Fat is All Lang and small is Multi Lang

With RC8, RC9, RC10, and x-mas ed. You should use min. base 746, can't use base .714, your device won't boot up if you use base .714, for the sfi you can choose .714 or .746 sfi.

How easy is it to make a hybrid? I may end up making one some day.
Maybe you can try RC5B, it should work with base 477 and 477 sfi.

OS version 7.1.0.746 has been removed from RIM's site and most 9310 owners are stuck on Boost's stock OS. (Such as I.)
here : Curve 9310 OS OS 7.1.0.746 from Visafone Nigeria

Default BerryLicio.us Ultimate hybrid for most OS 7.1 devices

Easy explanation is, 2 different hybrid mixes as per the names:

    BL Ultimate Mixes

    BL Returns Mixes

Updates are very different as they are by 2 different hybrid creators.

The choice is really yours as your may prefer one to the other.

I'm sorry but I still don't get it.
I go to the "ultimate" thread and download the OS6 versions, they are named "BL Ultimate OS6 rel_1.0.0" and "BL Ultimate OS6 rel_2.0.0", everything good so far.
Then I find the "returns" thread and I see a OS6 v3 update !?!. I download the OS6 "returns" update and surprise, it's named "BL Ultimate OS6 v3.0.0".
It doesn't make any sense, for the OS6 version at least, that's what I'm downloading, I do not have a OS7 device.

    Thank you.

Just want to say thanks! Just swapped from Android to a 9900 and expected poor battery life, changed to BL Ultimate Christmas Special Hybrid on .794 Base with Large .714 .sfi and have to say WOW looking at an adr of anywhere between 1.4-2.5%. Well chuffed, took a bit of reading through a few threads to understand the process but it was time well spent.

For X'mas special the base needs to be .794 from China Unicom or Singtel.......no need to copy the dakota files on the first page and alx for the bbm is in the package (zip file)
