BerryLicio.us Ultimate hybrid for most OS 7.1 devices
Hi all, as promised I am starting a new thread, this will be updated as questions come.
First of all you will need to install at least 7.1.0.523 for your selected devices, some has gone up to 7.1.0.569 which are better.
Then you drop this java mix into the java folder, shrink to your liking and run your loader.exe
Release Candidate 2 is here, this time featuring Rudy's KereHore mix, it is fast, and is stable been tested.
RC3 is here.
This is a full OS with FB and Twitter beta, BBM hybrid, pre shrunk already. Shrink further at your own risk. Mirror to full OS RC3
Java for the rest of RC3 can be found here. Java mirror.
Same drill as previous releases.
This comes with BBM hybrid so if you use BBM just load with usual .alx
Instructions:
Install your base, copy and paste the full OS or the java for other devices into the install folder, following the OS files/folder structure.
Shrink
Run your loader.

I will try and answer what I can. This hybrid has been tested on 9900, 9860 (running 523) and 9810.

Multi 523 sfi for 9900 can be found .523 Archive
Also attached alx for 9900 (Dakota), 9860 (Monza), 9810 (Jenings) to avoid duplicate modules being loaded on to phone under app management.
Just remember, 569 initially gives you a number of spinning clocks, let it settle for a few days.
Those that says no settling period is needed, can take a hike.

Is there a hybrid out there that has mobile hotspot working on AT&T? Works on .267 but the newer OS versions block it without paying for an extra a data plan. Thanks!

Yes, copy it over the installed OS, then shrink if you wish to remove unwanted files.

As people keep pointing out, your battery life it really dependant on your network,
however the last 2 days I have done 7.30am to 12am and still had 40% left on my battery.I am in the UK and on Orange, using UMA over wireless also most of the day. Using social apps, web and several medium length calls.Bold 9900 with BL 7.1 BL Ultimate RC15

This may be a silly question, but I will ask anyway. LoL
To confirm, Hybrid uses .580 for the core, which inclused the radio file, GPS file, Wi-fi file, etc.? Isn't a radio file different for the 9930 than a 9900?
I just updated to .569 and have restored all data and apps. Would there be an issue with just installing the hybrid over my current phone config? Or am I asking for trouble?
Thanks, just don't want to do extra work if I don't have to. - 07-26-2012, 08:02 AM #17
Ok, you have answered your own question there, the radio file is different on the 9930 so no, its the radio file from the OS you use as the base, I have 569 as my base then the 580/BL Hybrid java over that.
The hybrid is best implemented over the OS before install, other wise you dont know what cods you will have on your phone.
Hope that helps.Bold 9900 with BL 7.1 BL Ultimate RC15

This one is easy for you, If you know where the vendor.xml was hidden you are starting well.
Download the java mix for the hybrid on page 1, then extract the files over the 7.1.0.569 os java directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9900M_v7.1.0.569_P5.1.0.415\java
From there you can do a full wipe of your phone, (after backup) and install using apploader. Or just try using Desktop Manager it might pick upBold 9900 with BL 7.1 BL Ultimate RC15

I added that in as you have .569 already, try it without the wipe,
if desktop manager doesnt flag an update available then yes, you might need the wipe.
From experience, a wipe does sometimes help the phone start from scratch also. ALthough I do then restore my app and data on top.Bold 9900 with BL 7.1 BL Ultimate RC15
