I guess I'll have to try this one. I'm still waiting for a new base for the 9800 though.

Hmmm I see a lot of special thanks but none for the 6.1 files. Don't claim something that isn't originally yours

I was a recalcitrant OS 5 user for a long time - mainly because I loved the battery life. I built my own hybrids for several months, usually on the 5.0.0.656 base. Nothing I tried compared to that base OS.
I moved my hybrids to the 5.0.0.1014 base and noticed a slightly higher battery drain. Negligible, really, but I still noticed. However, 3G performed very well on that OS and that was enough to convince me to stick with it.
I give you all that background because I made the move to BDHP 6.0 over 6.0.0.448 and I have been pleasantly surprised with how similar battery life is to all my earlier builds. This build works very, very well. - 01-27-2011, 03:04 PM #64
haha typical took the plunge yesterday and installed BDHP v5.0
should I wipe the phone again or should I just install this over the 5.0 version? (8520 with base 5.0.0.1036) - 01-27-2011, 03:10 PM #65Non-conforming signature moderated to comply with forum rules

yeap we give credit... to RIM, Credit is due to RIM for making these cods.
just because u have cods in ur possession before every1 else does, doesn't make u deserving of specific credit or best hybrid brand.
we dont have to make hybrids, unlike other sites, we do it because you ask for it and like our builds. we can quit if we wanted to or ask for payments for our builds an slap V.I.P on it, then release the same hybrid later on to the public which in my eyes don't make sense unless ur just in it for gaining $.
i acknowledge BBHybrids had them before every1 else did, however, y give them credit for them just having it in advance?Last edited by Suprah; 01-27-2011 at 03:31 PM.

Thanks for the hybrid. Seems to be running pretty well. Unfortunately I cannot run it from the latest device OS:
I got the same error apart from "blackberrry 5.0.0 core applications".
To fix this I had to install my official OS 5.0.0.713 from o2. Any other carrier's OS doesn't work even if I delete vendor.xml from apploader.
Any ideas?Last edited by The Fury; 01-27-2011 at 03:49 PM.

How do I install this? I have the v5.0 .337 hybrid running on my Torch now, do I just install it over it or I'd have to reinstall .337 and install 6.0 over it?

Easiest way to handle this situation is to start with a clean base OS (I recommend keeping a clean stock Java folder before you apply any hybrid) and install the new hybrid to that Java folder. You don't have to install a new base to your phone, just to your PC. Then point the hybrid installer at it.
Let me know if that's not clear and I'll try to explain more.
Check out my Hybrid Installation Guide in the forum too.

Hi,
I've been using this hybrid for 18 hours and I have to say its really good!
There's only 1 problem..
I can't do searches from the address field in the browser and can't do universal searches using Google..
Is anybody having the same issue? Does anybody have a fix for this?
Thanks!
