BBB78 Version 6, Hybrid for OS4.5 devices 88x0/83x0/81x0 (OS 4.5/4.6/5.0/6.0/6.1)

Well here it is, the public release of version 6.0!

You can download it from driphter.com:

for 88x0: BBB78 88x0 v6.0

for 83x0: BBB78 83x0 v6.0

for 81x0: BBB78 81x0 v6.0

This hybrid is a mix of your base OS, 4.6.1.322, 5.0.0.1051, 6.0.0.448/466, and 6.1.0.7 (Curve Sedona files)

This V6 is a little bit faster and smoother than V5.1, signal locking improves alot due to .466 cods., I got uncaught exeption when I click options, so I changed net_rim_crypto_keystore_browser_certificate cod. with the stock OS cod. and it solves my problem. over all it's a great build. Thank you Triple B for your hard work....

Hmmmm I thought I had fixed that issue, I might have to look at the files I posted. Thanks for the feedback!

My devices is 8310.i has install os 4.5.0.188 and hybrid v6.but i have an error

My apologies for the error, here's a patch that should fix it up

BBB78v6patch.jad

To install:

Either use BBSAK (install a JAD option)

or

Save the file to a folder on your Blackberry Media card, then open your Media folder on your device, click the menu button and select explore and go to the file on your media card, select it and download from there.

Use BBSAK install : net_rim_crypto_keystore_browser_certificate cod. from your original OS base (4.5.0.188) make sure not from the hybrid files, it will solve your problem.....

Hi, yea I can't access options either and I tried your fix that didn't solve it. Injecting the cod like Sator said works. So that's fine but another problem is that no BB5 version works (no icon). Using 8310.

So imma try 5.1, the last one I tried (before going to 6) was your version 3.x or something.

Edit: wow this is weird. I've tried all version down to 2.0 and I still can't see BBM5 (from bb.com/blackberrymessenger), the stock BBM from the firmware works btw but I can't reload my contacts from the backup I made with BBM5.

I'm pretty sure I used your 2.0 before (still have the file on hd) and bbm5 worked fine...what's happening here lol.

Going to try a clean 187 install later.

Can someone using any of BBB78 hybrid on a 8310 tell me your version of BBM 5 or if you're still using 4 what is the latest version you are using and if you have any OTAs for it.

Now my 8310 can only use the one that came with the firmware (4.5). Which is fine for now since it's faster..

And this works for you ? Would this be the same version as BlackBerry Messenger ?

I'm not really questioning it since what I'm experiencing is probably some...bug. BBM5 worked fine before using BBB's hybrids, now nothing works. I see BMM5 in the App list but I don't see the icon anywhere and also in profiles the sound entries for BBM are missing.

I may need a wipe.
