I installed this bad boy last night on my 8900 and so far so good except for when I do a battery pull and the bar loads up it stays on that screen for a mighty long time. The browser is fairly decent and the over all feel of it is good. Ofcourse I got no sleep playing around with it, good thing I wasn't going to work....LoL.....gonna put it through some more stress test and report back.

I can see from the original post that it comprises parts of several OS versions... any description of what we might expect to see / experience that's different from stock 822 on an 8900? I'd be curious to hear if anyone who has already lived with 822 for a while can contrast 822 against this hybrid. thanks...

I've been on 822 for awhile and I must say the main difference I see to this hybrid and 822 is that I get way less hour glass. Plus the browser is a tad bit faster.

Is there a big difference using the 6-203 files instead of the 6-180? I'm presently using WB 7.2 and know that each will be different even if basing on the same OS versions based on what the hybrid builder chooses. However, I'm wondering if I'd benefit from using the higher 6.0 OS files?

    >>EDIT -- How can 1000 people have downloaded this without more than a couple comments? Common people, AE asks nothing of us except feedback.

funny, I've always done device wipes with BBSAK but have only done the Security Wipe a couple times in the past, and not on this device. Wow. that security wipe takes a ton of time. I always thought that the two were interchangable.

    > EDIT > I thought it was a very smooth install but I just checked and almost every module is .862. Found a pile of COD's in the 862 file. I guess I should have installed to the java file within that. O well, at least for today, I'll have 862.

    >> EDIT > ok reinstalled pointing to Java folder. no problems on install except that I now can't run Blaq. I was able to with WB7.2 and the patch posted on driphter.com. The same patch didn't work and I know there's a patch out there that will work but I'm going to go back to UT. Not convinced that Blaq is better anyway.

been running this for about 2 weeks, better battery management than wb's and better with the memory leaks... BUT battery is still draining a little quicker than AE's last hybrid... hoping there will be another version out soon, kinda fun playing around with these hybrids...

any idea if the bug fix for the 9000 going silent is fixed in this hybrid? seems like an issue with the 822 base...

am installing A E on my 9000 now, hope its great.

i've never used a hybrid OS before so it'll be interesting to see how fast the browser and program launches are.

i've used a bunch of beta and official OSes before, 4.6 and 5.0. currently using 681 beta. Was going to just go with Rogers official 822 but I am curious to see how well these hybrids run.

edit: just installed, initial impressions are that the browser is snappy. much improved from 681 OS. overall, a notable upgrade from previous OS. thanks alexander!

just a question, i restored my apps with BBSAK, now in the BB Desktop Manager the applications sync only has BBSAK Apps backup. I cannot add/delete each application that is on my phone. Can someone please tell me how to add/remove the actual programs within the BBSAK backup?

I'm having a major issue with my 9700 not ringing even though the profile is set to normal and the setting inside that is correct. I find that when I go in to edit the profile setting for "phone", if I can click to "try" the ringtone and I hear something, then the device will ring. This is an intermittant issue and sometimes rebooting helps. I've seen this issue before on a hybrid thread but can't recall where or what the fix is. Naturally, I'll be installing another hybrid tonight.
