Hey. I had use to do that and I had the same issue. It can't reconnect to the device. I had to load it up through bootcamp and then switch upon restart. Sorry. I sat for a long *** time waiting to. Its annoying but no one has found a work around. Sorry. Good luck

Did you install hybrid in a fresh 713 install? Did you use loader.exe to upgrade your phone? What os were you running previously?

[QUOTE=munchkinsdad;5474199]===== QUOTE rms000 ====
I loaded the hybrid with the OS6 files. I am concerned about battery drain. What is the procedure to update without the 6 files at this point?
Thanks
Rick

It will ask you if you want to load os6 files...just say no

I would uninstall .713 and start over with the installation again. If that doesn't work, you may need to wipe the phone. I have had to do that before to get an os to upgrade. Unless someone else has a better idea...
yes I've removed and deleted all the older os files it was .517 and yes I've used the loader

how would i go about wiping the phone? would i have to use bbsak? i have no clue how to use that. and yes i was on a fresh install of .713 and as i stated yesterday, it just sits at connecting to ROM/ uploading RAM image. i get tired of waiting and unplug the phone
edit: so i wiped with bbsak, then got a 507 error to reload software. so i opened up the loader and its sitting at uploading ram image again...

Loaded mine with the OS6 files 2 days ago and no problems and battery drain is not bad. Love this build, it's my favorite so far!!! My only problem is that since I installed it, Desktop Manger 6 won't load the applications screen. It just sits idle. Anyone else having this problem?

I would suggest uninstalling your OS (713) and uninstall the hybrid and any other folders you may have from any other OS you had previously installed (R click start then program file-then common files-research in motion-shared files. Any old folders from prior OS's, delete them. restart computer.
Then Download JL commander and use that to wipe your phone.
reinstall 713, reinstall the hybrid and then restart your computer.
This is the process i have always used and never had an issue.
Now Start apploader and see what happens.. sounds like your installation of 713 or the hybrid went bad somewhere.
I ran this hybrid for almost a week straight, reinstalled many times and even after a week straight it had quite a few bugs. I know everyones phones are different,, this one just didnt work for me. For me straight 607 from the factory build is flawless, weird I know as 607 did not work for many but 607 has been better on my phone than any other hybrid, official or leaked OS..
Maybe I just got a retarded phone? - 08-17-2010, 04:15 PM #40
Tried the full hybrid with the OS6 files just for kicks. Worked ok for a few days then all of a sudden, the battery drain was signficant. Seemed to be tied to the phone radio meaning the drain ocurred when I was using the phone. Of course, that is a problem. Wiped, dropped the OS6 files and will see what I get. I like the hybrid so far though.

I gave it a go without the OS6 files and it seems like battery life is better. Again more anecdotal evidence but I chatted again for an hour on bbgroups and there was no huge battery drain of 25%. It was more like 10% this time.

I just installed .862 (.713 base) last night with the 6.0 files, absolutely love lyr's hybrids with them.
Installed last night about 1:30am, and at a little over 12 hours my discharge average is 5.5% - did 4 battery pulls and never shut it off or reset discharge rate, 3 short and one long phone call, yahoo usage, a smattering of texts, was on the web about an hour added all together, and 36 emails to which 8 I responded to. I keep BerryWeather on GPS location, WiFi and Bluetooth always on, BW, MeterBerry, and Twitter update at 15 minute intervals.
I was using .794 with .713 base before also with the 6.0 files and was getting outstanding battery life - .8% idle, 4.3% was the highest discharge rate on that install. Hoping this one tops that; although if it does I may charge lyr for not having to use my spare battery anymore
Awesome job again lyr
