9550 Bedside mode fix / ALL DEVICES
THIS WILL WORK FOR ALL 5.0 OPERATING SYSTEMS AND DEVICES THAT ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THE BEDSIDE MODE NOT WORKING WHEN THE DEVICE IS PLUGGED INTO THE WALL.
So you have an issue with bedside mode not popping up on 5.0.0.983 when on the wall charger right? Don't Worry, your boys over at BB Tweaks have you covered! This issue popped up in 895 and I was able to hybrid it out.
1. Download the fix HERE
2. Extract the file to your PC using WinRAR or 7-Zip (Inside the .rar file is the .cod that you will need)
3. Use BBSAK or BBMCP to push the files to your BB (BOTH ARE FREE) or you can copy and paste the extracted files to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9550AMEA_v5.0.0.983_P4.2.0.427\Java and run the app loader.
You may see a full tutorial showing how to do this with BBSAK HERELast edited by jcporter; 01-27-2011 at 03:05 PM.

THANK YOU!
I love this build except for the beside mode problem. I was all set to reload a hybrid I was using when I saw this post. I'm going to install it right away and report back.
OK, I just loaded it via BBSAK and it works! Thanks so much for this.Last edited by McIrish; 10-20-2010 at 09:01 AM.

Tried and works a treat.

I simply used BBSAK to remove the net_rim_bb_clock_lib.cod file from the device, then loaded up the one in the fix. It's a lot easier than reloading the entire OS and just takes a few minutes. Everything is working great here.

when i installed the latest verizon OS on my girlfriend's 8530, it killed her bedside mode as well. is what you did here is just take a clock.cod from an older os and just replace the one on this version? can i do the same with her 8530?
