9500 ***.113/.114 Hybrid Findings Thread***
*9500* THREAD - PLEASE US GUYS LEAVE THIS ALONE.
Different Model Phones 9500 / 9530 have different results when it comes to BETA's
ok. As I type this the my machine is loading the above OS. For information on how to make etc, there are several threads on the beta forum. So i'd rather just concentrate on findings in this thread.
The reasons for me doing so are I'm having bluetooth issues with headset and the phone and I think the radio on .114 did seem a bit better than the radio on .113, but this could just me being paranoid that I'm not running at 1000% efficiency.
I could have asked the question of other 9500'ers if they had these same issues, but I might as well try the hybrid in the meantime, as as I think there's only like 2 of us compared to the billion 9530'ers.
Thanks for your input guys.Last edited by Ash_786; 03-13-2009 at 06:51 AM.

OS Seems to be running quite well. Early days.
No major problems to report. Phone is quick and goes through menus quickly. Initiall thoughts are that the radio is best so far with regards to being able to stay on 3G during calls.
Bluetooth headset problem has been resolved.Last edited by Ash_786; 03-12-2009 at 07:06 PM.

Ash,
Hows the hybrid working out for you? Currently running 113 on mine at the moment, did have 114 installed for a day but the radio kept switching off.
Cant say that I have noticed any increase in the signal with 113 but as I say early days. - 03-13-2009, 06:23 AM

I installed about 12 hours ago and think its the best so far. Have been running the default theme, and memory leaks are not as bad on my storm. I think a lot of memory issues are with the newer themes. I let it set over night and checked this morning and only lost 2meg. Very nice hybrid though!

Hi Ash_76
will try hybrid for 9500 too.
On your signature there are download like and both are for 9500 right?
I start to confused as .114 is for 9530 but file name in you sig show 9500-.114
Anyway, I read instruction to make Hybrid from 9530 thread.
We 9500 have to do the same way? overwrite .114 with .113 files?
Thanks for your instruction.

Just a quick update.
I've actually reverted to .113
I find its overall faster than the hybrid and also 2nd time round I did not experience any bluetooth issues.Follow me on Twitter : Click Here - 03-14-2009, 07:44 AM

i installed yesterday 113/with 114 java files
the best performance so far
coming from .109 and this is the best os for 9500
pros
accel super fast
bigger text
booting faster
new copy/paste look awsome
unlock is extremely fast
cons
in 1 day i have 1 weird restart - 03-14-2009, 10:35 PM #19
I asked this in another thread response was to .90 radio file. I installed .113 with the .90 radio file and it does look better. However it still can't seem to decide whether to stick to 2G or 3G.
Also it has that annoying trait of dropping at least 2 bars the second you pick it up!

give it a few days to "burn in"
hey all..give the hybrid a few days to burn in..I havent had as much memory leak....I HAVE had a few issues with video recording ..and the immediate replaying giving me errors..but that only happened once..the other times..were fine..
the accelerometer is fast but not as sensitive when turning to landscape and portrait mode..the phone application still has hiccups..but it seems to me that all my programs work really well..i DID reset up emails through BIS server as they would send me mails but I couldnt send replys ..once I did that and recieved new messages from the server for registering mail accounts then I was back to normal
all in all this hybrid is WAY better than the 114 leak...also I ONLY replaced the java files..nothing else done..no mms cods or radio cods replaced...
the signal seems WAY better with the 113 than the 114 leak however still occasionally gives me 1x instead of 1xEV ..but I am confident things will work out once we get our official release from VerizonJohn - 03-18-2009, 03:06 AM #23
Installed .113/.114 hybrid with .109 radio last night, running smoothly for last 24 hours with loosing around 10 megs memory since last bat pull which was 16 hours ago.
Accelerometer is faster but sometimes responds slow. Checking other apps.Ion in the Storm
