I loaded the first version of this hybrid with .131 phone app and .89 radio and had speakerphone blast so I replaced .89 radio with .131 radio.

I'm not going to be able to load the updated version until tomorrow

I am wondering if this will make Google maps utilize the internal GPS on my 8330m ? (a known problem) Anyone with a "m" test this and please let me know.

And if not, would I be safer just waiting for the next "official" release for the 8330m? I would not mind having a faster berry.

Thanks

I don't know if lyricidal added the .131 phone app and radio or not so after you add his files to .160 add the .131 phone app and radio and you should be good to go.

Edit: When I say "add" I meant "replace".

BTW, the Shrink A OS is a very nice app.

I used it and it is very easy to use.

After you shrink your OS it puts the removed files in a folder in the .160 Java folder so make sure to either move it or delete it.

Thank you, sir. Unfortunately my desktop is stored away while I'm remodeling the house, but I'm going to give this a go as soon as its back up and running.

Thank you, lyricidal for developing this.

I'm not sure how to do this, so before I learn, has anyone tried this on an 8330m? Results?

Hm, I've been checking every once and a while for my girlfriends 8330 (I've been using your 9530 hybrids)...Nice to see there is finally something new for her phone. Will have to try it.

Wow, just wow. This OS is really fast.

Instantaneous symbols screen pops up in SMS.

Browser is fast.

Thumbnail pics load up very fast as well in Media, Pictures.

I may not need the Tour now.

Yeah, right.

It will make the wait less painful though.

Thanks lyricidal.

ok Im a little confused right now after i extract to download file, it says to put into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8330-v4.5.0.160_P3.4.0.41 folder. Well, in the RIM folder there is now shared folder on mine. Should I make one?

Thumbs up

Just put this on my 8330m. It is ALOT quicker, and a good amount of extra free memory. The only problem I encountered was that after the update, an error came up on Desktop Manager stating that not all calendar entries were restored. But that I can live with.
