I also have a movie that used to play fine and now it's real choppy.
I thought the same thing.

I haven't checked all my movies, I have 12 of them.

OK. Also having issues with movies. Device eventually froze while trying to stop a movie, necessitating a battery pull.

Have just finished a JL_Cmder wipe, and in the process of re-installing native .160.

Thanks to everyone all the same!!

Have you tried the .160/.131 phone, radio, profiles hybrid in blackngray's thread?

I'm reinstalling this OS after making a few modifications.

I'm using the phone.alx, phone app, radio, files from .131, and the media player files from .160 to see if my movies play the way I remember them with the .131 files.

EDIT: Used .160 media player files.

if that doesnt work, I would see what, if any, of the plazmic files are 5.0 or 4.6 and try changing them back to 4.5, as they affect that kind of stuff
hope that helps

as for Google Maps issue:
if any of the GPS .cod or *lbs*.cod files are 4.6/5.0 try changing them back to 4.5 and it should fix that

Is there a 5.0 based hybrid in the works? That would be sweet. Also, does the 4.6 have a better look then 4.5?

Looks the same, just a lot faster and responsive. I'm trying to work out a few kinks in the media player though.

Actually, I think the resolution has changed a bit, to a higher resolution... I noticed the icon spacing on my home screen is bigger, and the icons are smaller. The browser screen also looks like it went to a higher resolution as well, as the fonts became smaller. That's probably why my movies don't fill the screen like they did before, because the screen resolution changed. AHA.

So I'm running it on my 8330, running grat so far. Some things seem a little faster, others don't seem to have any change.

I had a question, I'm relatively new to Blackberries, had my curve since feb or so, and I haven't done a whole lot of research on Hybrids. Does the hybrid mean I can run certain themes or programs that are say 4.6 only, or 5.0 only?

And is there any way to get the looks of the 4.6 or 5.0 OS? I'm quite fine with the 4.5 look, but those new ones just look so much snappier, and have a few cooler functions :P

If you are using DM 4.7, you have to disconnect from the internet.

I don't use media much. Just for youtube. The idea of it beeing faster and more responsive is well worth the try. I am running the 160/138 build that Slingbox made and it is better too. The phone in that build does not lag when I answer it. My questions is this, is there a lag in the build that is talked about in this posting?
