8310/8320/8330 hybrid (4.5.0.18x/4.6.1.314/5.0.0.938/6.0.0.225)
BBB78 83x0 4.5 4.6 5.0 6.0.zip
improved memory compared to the last version I posted.
To install:
- Backup your device data and 3rd party apps (including BBM contacts)
- Download and install the latest OS for your device (should be 4.5.0.18x), and delete the vendor.xml file in the apploader folder.
- Download the hybrid zip folder from mediafire and copy all files and paste these into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\83x0-v4.5.......\Java , and let it overwrite all files
- for best results wipe you device with BBSAK before loading
- Run Loader.exe (found in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader) or use BBSAK
- In the Loader make sure to check the apps you want to include

Memory is still not great

To prevent major memory leaks go to:
Options > Security Options > Memory Cleaning >
and Enable the automatic memory cleaning (every 1 min when Idle)
Hope that helps!Back in Black! - 10-07-2010, 01:52 PM #5

So this is a 4.5 base with 5.0 and 6.0 files? It runs as a 4.5 not a 5.0?
8330 ---> 9530 --> 8330 --> 9650 --> HTC Thunderbolt & 32G Playbook - 10-19-2010, 01:16 PM #12
No this doesn't not give u threaded sms..because the base file is 4.5.18x and threaded is only in 5 and above. There isn't much risk in downloading it jus make sure u back up everything including apps. And follow the instuctions carefully. You say u have a 8320 so there u need 4.5.182 or 4.5.188 as the base os..then install and enjoy

The hybrid is intended for 8310/8320/8330m, but should work on the 8330 if you install it over OS 4.5.0.18x (if there is one)
But I would recommend running OS 5 on your 8330, read this forum thread:
