6.7.x.524(526-534-546-570-576-44-50-115) for 9650
Yeah I know, the name is long as crap.
I can't take too much credit for this. This is pretty much an OSBB Community build, all I did was compile this version of it (uber geeks like me can think of it as kinda like a linux distro
)
As installed on my blackberry, this hybrid contains:
32 files from 6.0.0.524
21 files from 6.0.0.526
30 files from 6.0.0.534
63 files from 6.0.0.546
1 file from 6.0.0.570
78 files from 6.0.0.576
26 files from 6.1.0.44
13 files from 6.1.0.50
118 files from 7.0.0.115
Instructions: Install 6.0.0.524 and delete the Java if you want this hybrid to shrink out the unnecessary media and fonts (that's all I bother shrinking, saves 30mb).
Install the hybrid
run loader when the hybrid launches.
Update: it has been confirmed that this hybrid will also work over 466 if you prefer that to 524.
For more info about what the hybrid contains, the installer puts a system read txt on your desktop.
If you make an update patch, post it! I'll include it in the installer.
Hope you guys like it!
If you want to join up with OSBB and help build hybrids, PIN or email me.

Awesome, .115 plays better on a cdma device than gsm?

I don't have a gsm device to find out
I think 115 is responsible for the stupendous battery life I've been getting.

Hey Shane, do you think this will play well with the .466 radio. I get much better signal at my house with that particualr one. If anything, I can always try out each one for a week and see which one is best.

Like King said, it should work.
Backup before you load, and if it doesn't let us know.
Sounds good King - if there's any difference throw it in dropbox and we can patch it together. - 06-09-2011, 10:13 PM #8

Maybe try it again without the 524 files.
Try this: install the hybrid to a folder on your desktop, then use the system read to delete all the 524 files. Drop those in the java folder and try that.

Hey SCrid,
I had an odd thing happen when I tried to download your 9650 release. My Norton program removed it from the download file; identifying it as a threat to my pc system. Any known reason why that would happen? I have tried the 431, 436 and 524 official releases and never had this problem. Thanks for your time. The Grass Looks Greener Because Its Painted - 06-09-2011, 11:38 PM #12
Hey runkle55, I'm not sure why it happens but if you disable Norton completely for 15 mins then download, it should be fine. Its what I did and I finally got it loaded.

I know your problem - it's that you're using Norton
Seriously, Norton sucks man.
I bet it's because when I switched to a 64bit version of windows my serial for my installer didn't take, so I'm using the evaluation version. It might be that the installer installs to several locations - the OS folder, the AppLoader folder, the temp folder, and the desktop.
There's nothing in there that can harm your PC - if I wanted to screw with people I'd make apps to brick their BBs and put them in App World, not make a hybrid with a virus
If you keep having problems, I can upload my Java folder in a zip and you can download that - it wouldn't be an installer so there's no way Norton would have a problem with it. - 06-10-2011, 04:48 AM #14

Linux is good, in fact no Norton download problems at all using Ubuntu.
Question about OSBB. The blue site (BB Hybrid Builders • View forum - Bold 9650 Discussion) that was down and is back up is no longer in use? The black site (Bold 9650 Discussion) is the new and improved?
Thank you SCrid and your co-conspirators for your hard work. - 06-10-2011, 08:24 AM #15
Download link isn't working
.
Got a minor SCrid? - 06-10-2011, 08:29 AM #16
The masses have swamped his Dropbox and they choked it off. Might have to wait a while and try again.
And SCrid... Dude... the name, I mean, if I install this and then try to tell someone what version this is I know I'll get brain freeze, lol.
Thanks for the efforts, I can't wait to try this one.Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
