Question Use Storm as GPS while tethered to Laptop?

Sorry if this has already been discussed. I did search, and browse, but don't see this specific topic.

Can a BlackBerry Storm (version 1) be used like other GPS receivers, where they can be connected to a laptop (which I already know how to do for internet tethering), and have the GPS capability of the connected device available to the map software on the laptop?

If so, does anyone know if it is possible to do this with the National Geographic TOPO series at all?

Thanks.

I would like to use my BB Storm as a GPS unit for the TOPO software on my laptop. Is this possible? Please PM me if so. Thanks.

I'm also still looking for a good, 3rd-party e-mail app. Something I can use to connect to multiple accounts of various types (Exchange, IMAP, HTTP, etc).
Please point me in the right direction (either PM me or post up right here in this thread and I'll probably catch it). Thanks.
