Default SMS and GPS questions

When sending an SMS I get a dialog box asking "Are you sure", any way to disable this annoying feature?

Do I need browser capability to use the GPS on my 8310? All I have is a messaging plan which does not allow me to go on the Internet.

TIA

You don't need browser capability to use the GPS, but you will have to have data access. That's probably the same thing, but since I'm not a Rogers user, I don't know.

I can't find any option to prompt before sending SMS. What OS version are you running?

I'm running 4.5. I did find a setting to turn off a confirmation when deleting messages. Anybody else get this "Are you sure" message prior to sending sms?

When I activate the Maps app, I get a dialog box stating I do not have BIS and BES, guess that takes care of that!

OK, got to the bottom of the SMS message. There was an IT Policy enabled from the prior owner. This can be removed, contrary to what RIM will tell you. You use a utility called CrackUtil
