Default No GPS??
A Friend just got the 8520 and theres no GPS on it, yet her sons has it. Is there a setting somewhere to activate it or is it a carrier thing? she's on Virgin UK...Cheers in advance...

No 8520 has GPS functions. I don't know what device her son has but it is not a 8520.

Likely using an app the uses cell tower location rather than actual GPS. Google Maps can do that. Accuracy is much less, but it gets you "in the neighborhood".

The 8530 is a CDMA phone and as I understand it, Vodaphone UK is GSM. Maybe she has a 9300?
