Angry Need GPS Help

I can not get my GPS to work on my Verizon Tour. I have tried various programs and fixes. I feel I am fairly computer/phone conversant but do not have a clue on this.

BB Maps does not pick up an apparent signal. I tried the A Real Fix for Broken GPS - Guide v1.0 and that didn't work and Amaze also doesn't show I am getting a GPS signal. What am I missing? Can someone take me through the basics.

Thanks,

Steve

1. Go to settings, advanced, and GPS. Switch from E911 to location. This turns the GPS on all the time. Battery will drop quicker.

2. If you want to use Amaze make sure you download the version for the carrier you have. For instance Verizon needs a special version to work right.

I just got my Tour today and couldn't get GPS to work either (and yes, I fixed the settings right away). Turned out I had to go outside, where it works fine. That's weird though because I have an 8900 on T-Mobile and the GPS works fine indoors or out.

Anyone else experiencing this?
