yes there is a company out there that has houseplans of everyones homes and all office buildings too

There's no way that the GPS chip can know what the internal architecture of the building you're in looks like.

Such a thing exists. I saw it on TV so it must be real. In the commercial, Ozzie used it to navigate around his house to find the bathroom

Maybe if you use Street View in Google Maps... and your room is on the street...
Personally, I'd just ask the front desk what room you're in...
