How often to clear the cache?

How often should I clear the BB maps & Google Maps cache? I know how to do this in BB maps but not sure about Google Maps?

i clear the cache about once a week. I use it about 3 times a week. I'm using BB Maps

maybe once or twice a month. I clear the browser and delete text messages more than anything.

How can this be done in Google Maps?

You can't clear the cache itself on google maps with the newer versions you can only reset google maps which will clear everything including favorites.

I cleared the cache in BB Maps and reset downloaded data (foolish mistake). But I dont think it deleted the maps as I had the same amount of RAM free after reset. The Curve 8330 does not have a lot of internal RAM so I have had to delete some apps and games to save space for maps.
